It’s hard to believe, but YEC is coming at us fast. We’ll be pouring out more detailed info as the date arrives, but here’s what you need to know for now:

- To reserve your spot just turn in your money for the trip.

$40.00 (This covers: hotel, conference, breakfast, and pizza Saturday night)

Departure time:

Friday, August 7th from Southwood at 8:00am

Arriving home:

Saturday evening at Southwood by 8:00pm

Students, if you haven’t already begun registration for Falls Creek, do so quickly! After June 14th we must bump up the price, so let us help you save some money by registering now!

Also, don’t forget to ask your friends to come, seriously! This is an evangelical camp, meaning they will hear the message of Jesus over and over all week. Hopefully this week will make a serious impact on your friends who haven’t experienced Jesus. This is what it’s all about.

We are so excited for what God is going to teach all of us at Falls Creek!

School is so close to ending and you know what that means, snow cones! No more academic responsibility! Simply put, fun! We also think it means, more importantly, more time to grow as a church family and experience God together. We love summer because it tends to be the time of year we have opportunities to focus more on our spiritual growth.

One of our favorite places to experience this awesome benefit of summer is at Falls Creek, definitely the best event of our summer.

I just wanted to let you know that registration is possible for camp starting now. Why am I telling you about this so early? Because if you register early, you get to save a little money, something nobody is complaining about in our wonderfully weak economy.

Southwood’s annual VBS draws near! This means the children’s ministry is looking for help from their favorite co-ministers in the church, you! The students! This year we are trying something different and holding VBS at night instead of in the morning. This is wondrous news to us all! We will not miss out on our beloved summer sleep in days. Let me entertain your basic questions:

6:00pm – 8:30pm

Perks?
Volunteers get a free meal every night starting at 5:15pm

How can you help? Click over to our Forms page and fill out the VBS commitment form then give it to Jeff! Your service will really show these kids how Jesus has personally impacted your life.
